for the most part above the Triluke Bay.
There are three private restaurants and only one gas station for cars and boats.

ŽMAN
is a small picturesque fishingport on the southeastern part of the island, along the Žmanšćica bay.
Today the inhabitants of Žman are mostly known for olive, agriculture,vinary and fishing, offering vide variety of natural products among which are vegetables, fish and dairy (goatmilk and goatcheese).
There is ambulance, a post-office, 2 grocery shops and 2 restaurants.
There are two picturesque small islands close to the village – Krknata and Vaka.

LUKA
it is located on the north east coast, at the bottom of the highest island hill Vela Straža (338m).
The location of the village is almost perfect. It is protected from all winds and this makes for a perfect nature harbour(one of the biggest bay on the island).
Three interesting caves have been discovered close to the village; the most beautiful is Kozja Peć.

VELI RAT
a little beautiful village located at the northwestern part of the island.
Southeastern of Veli Rat there is a famous sandbeach called SAHARUN, while on the northwestern side you will find a lighthouse.
Veli Rat, located on the northwestern part of the island, with its pinewoods, sandbeaches and crystal clear waters is ideal for your peaceful vacation.

SOLINE
one of the older settlement on the island, mentioned in the 12th century.
Soline is located in the deep Solišćica Bay.
South of the village, on the lower side of the island, towards the open sea, there is a beautiful sandy bay – Saharun. Surrounded by woods it is a very attractive spot for tourists.

Every village on Dugi Otok island has 2-3
supermarkets. In most villages there is also post-office, and in Sali, Žman and
Božava there are ambulance.
In the villages Sali and Božava you can
even become a member of the local diving club.
Every village on Dugi otok has its own feast day.
The «Saljske užance» (Customs of Sali) are a manifestation of entertainment, folk customs and «Trke tovarov»(donkey races).
